Island X Hawaii
P.O. Box 622
Haleiwa, HI 96712
In Waialua, a small town on the North Shore of Oahu, Bill and Reba Martin established their family business in 1991 to manufacture 100% Waialua Coffee and operate a retail store at the corner of historic Waialua Old Sugar Mill. With the Waialua Coffee and Cacao Mill literally just out their back door, they personally give visitors a quick coffee mill tour, where they can see coffee and cacao trees and learn about the milling process. After the tour, visitors can enjoy sampling 100% Waialua Coffee at the store.
Owner Bill Martin proudly says, “We sell only the very top grades of 100% Hawaiian coffees which are freshly roasted in our North Shore store at the Waialua Sugar Mill.” By using his own machine, he roasts green beans in small batches almost every day. Besides 100% Waialua Coffee, Island X Hawaii carries 100% Kona Coffee, Molokai Coffee and Kauai Coffee under Old Sugar Mill Brand. They also sell Waialua Estate Chocolate, made from 100% North Shore grown cacao which is grown about two blocks away from the Old Waialua Sugar Mill.
“Our shop also specializes in selling many quality Hawaii-made products”, as Bill declares, and adds that you can find other Seals of Quality products include For J’s Hawaii’s salt and sugar, Hawaiian Chip Company’s taro chips, and Oils of Aloha’s macadamia nut oils. Shave ice with Reba’s hand-made syrup such as Waialua coffee flavor and mango flavor, is becoming a popular treat in the Waialua area. Bill organizes The Taste of Waialua, an annual community event, featuring coffee, cacao, fresh produce, food, art, surf industry manufacturing in the Old Sugar Mill, Waialua.
Island X Hawaii’s Old Sugar Mill Brand coffees are available online and at Haleiwa Farmers’ Market on Sundays.
