“As a family-owned farm, Paradise Flower Farms brings a level of quality, a commitment to service and a respect for the land that can only be found in a business that has been operated by the same family for three generations,” says Teena Rasmussen, co-owner. “When ordering from us, you are buying direct from the farm and having it shipped direct to your door. Our fragrant lei will be sewn on the same morning the flowers are picked, and it will be on its way the same day.”
Founded in 1979, Paradise Flower Farms is comprised of a 56-acre farm in Upcountry Maui and employs 32 people. The company offers fresh flower lei, fresh cut tuberose and orchid gift boxes. Over 75 varieties of fresh flower lei are available, including fragrant lei, orchid and mixed flower lei, ti leaf lei, exotic lei, haku lei, “everlasting” lei (lei that dries well and retains its color) and lei for special events, such as weddings and proms.
“Where else in the world can you get fresh flowers that were grown in rich volcanic soil, picked by hand and sewn by hand into a beautiful weave of fragrant lei,” Rasmussen says proudly. “It is the most cherished symbol of aloha there is.”
Paradise Flower Farms’ products are available on Maui at Wal-Mart, Pukalani Superette, Foodland stores, Safeway stores, airport shops and through its website.
